Facebook gives 1-on-1 advice to Leslieville flower shop

When it comes to advice for other small business owners, Kelly Staples doesn't hesitate. "Invest in your neighbourhood," she says, "and be part of your customers lives, as they are a part of yours." With her husband Marc, she's the co-founder of Florabunda, a flower shop located in Toronto's Leslieville. The small business was recently declared the winner of American Express's Neighbourhood Gems contest, a month-long initiative designed to encourage cardholders (and Canadians) to 'shop small and make a big difference.' Along with an advertorial spread in Toronto Life magazine, Florabunda also received a one-on-one social media consultation with Facebook Canada.
